Dyscalculia Assessments
DC Educate offer full diagnostic dyscalculia assessments. This can be done within the child’s school or home, where there is a quiet area that allows for total concentration.
The assessment process consists of completion of background questionnaires by parents/carers, the individual to be assessed, and the school or tutor where appropriate.
The testing part of the assessment process will take approximately four hours, but this may vary according to any breaks your child may need during the day in order to achieve the most accurate reflection of their ability.
Once testing is complete, we will take time to carefully analyse the results and consider these in the light of the background context and the most relevant definitions of dyscalculia to form an opinion on whether, or not, there is a diagnosis.
To follow up, we will provide a full report that details the findings from the assessment process and will give suggestions for support strategies in school and at home. We will also arrange a meeting with you to discuss the report and answer any questions you may have.
We are training with a view to offering dyslexia assessments in the future.

Assessments from £650.

Dyslexia and Dyscalculia Screeners and Mentoring
DC Educate can offer screening for both dyscalculia and dyslexia to establish whether there is a basis for further investigation via a full diagnostic assessment.
This requires completion of a background questionnaire followed by a short session of testing, which would take approximately 90 minutes, depending on the individual circumstances. After the screening session we will analyse the results, provide a short report and feedback to you with our findings.
Our mentoring sessions involve working with your child to support their understanding of their difficulties, whether they have a diagnosis or not.
After a discussion with the individual and their parents/carers to gather a picture of their background, we will arrange 1:1 sessions to work with your child so they can develop an understanding of their strengths and offer strategies that use these to support their challenges.
We will guide them to increase their self-esteem and self-image as a learner, offering ideas for revision technique, planning and organisation strategies that will take them through school life and into further education or the workplace as appropriate.

Mentoring: £70 per hour per student.
Mentoring (Access Arrangement): £50 per hour per student.
10 students in one day: £450.
